Rylee

Rylee is truly one of a kind. I did not acquire her until she was nearly two years old, but from the moment she joined my program it was clear she was something special. Hands down, she is the smartest Australian Cattle Dog I have ever met. Her ability to think quickly, problem-solve, and adapt is exceptional—even for a breed known for intelligence. Rylee’s IQ is simply a cut above.

She is incredibly athletic with a consistently fit, balanced body type and seemingly endless energy. Much like the energizer bunny, she is always ready to go, yet at the end of the day all she truly wants is to be with her person. Her loyalty runs deep, and she thrives on that close bond.

One of Rylee’s most endearing traits is her love of scent. When she greets you, she does so with enthusiasm and curiosity, spending several solid minutes taking in every detail and nuance of the smells on you. Her natural ability and passion for sniffing makes me certain she would excel in scent work if given the opportunity—it’s something she instinctively understands and truly enjoys.

Rylee is naturally suspicious of strangers and very aware of her surroundings. On walks or at home, she has strong guarding instincts and provides a sense of security without being reckless or unstable. She is more comfortable in familiar environments and is very much a homebody, preferring routine and consistency over constant novelty.

Training Rylee is a joy because of her intelligence. She learns quickly, retains information effortlessly, and is always thinking one step ahead. While she may not be the most confident in new places, her mind, athleticism, and devotion make her an exceptional example of the breed and an invaluable part of my program.
