Cookie is strong-willed, independent, and very determined. He is cautious with new people and takes his time to warm up, and travel or busy environments can make him nervous, though he has been shown to his championship title and will soon return to the show ring to aim for his grand.
He is fine with our kids, although he enjoys his own space more than constant attention. His herding instinct is very strong, and he likes to take charge of the work himself. He can be stubborn in training and prefers to do things his own way.
He gets along with very tolerant dogs but can be aggressive with other intact males and even pushy with females. Some of his offspring inherit his strong personality, so he is best suited for experienced owners.
He stands out for his gorgeous blue mottled coat, stocky build, and commanding head. Most people comment first on how striking he looks in person.
