Raptor

Raptor is a young Australian Cattle Dog that we purchased with the intention of potentially adding him to our breeding program. As he has matured, we have decided that he is not the right fit for our program and are looking for a different home for him.

Raptor has been shown in conformation and currently has 6 points, including a major, and has earned his AKC Puppy of Achievement.

• AKC registered with full registration
• Intact
• BAER tested — full bilateral hearing
• PennHIP: LDI .41 / RDI .40
• No other health testing has been completed
• Current on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention
• Approximately 38 lbs
• Will be 2 years old in December 2026

Raptor is a fun, playful dog with a play drive. He loves toys and enjoys playing. He has gotten along well with both male and female dogs so far and really enjoys children, often preferring them to adults.

He is crate trained but is not house trained.

Raptor does have some areas that will need work. He is not a particularly confident dog and has found the conformation ring challenging because of this. He will need continued socialization and confidence-building in order to reach his potential in public and unfamiliar environments.

We cannot say whether additional socialization will substantially change his underlying temperament, so we want to be upfront about that. However, the degree of confidence a dog needs can vary considerably depending on what someone wants to do with him.

Raptor may be placed as:

Pet home: Neuter agreement required.

or

Approved breeding home: He remains intact and has full AKC registration. A breeding placement would be considered.

Raptor will be priced according to the investment that has gone into him and the type of placement.
